Cookie Policy

Effective date: 25/10/2026

Last updated: 25/10/2026

This Cookie Policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on www.soothingsoundsapp.com (the “Website”). The Website is owned and operated by Apricot Electronics Limited, a company registered in England and Wales. It provides information about the Soothing Sounds mobile app and links to the relevant app stores.

This policy applies to the Website only. It does not describe Google AdMob advertising within the Soothing Sounds mobile app; that is covered by our separate Soothing Sounds Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small files that a website can store in your browser or device. They may last only for your visit (session cookies) or remain for a longer period (persistent cookies). Websites and plugins may also use similar technologies, such as local browser storage, to remember settings or support functionality.

2. How the Website uses cookies

The Website is an informational and promotional site. It does not offer visitor accounts, a contact form, on-site purchases, website advertising or personalised advertising.

The Website may use cookies or similar technologies where necessary for website operation, security and management of visitors’ privacy choices. We use the SureCookie WordPress plugin to present and remember applicable cookie choices and, where configured, to keep records of those choices.

We do not intentionally use advertising or remarketing cookies on the Website. If additional optional tools are introduced, we will update this policy and implement any consent or objection mechanisms required by applicable law.

Session cookies are temporary cookies that are used during the course of your visit to the Website, and they expire when you close the web browser.

Persistent cookies are used to remember your preferences within our Website and remain on your desktop or mobile device even after you close your browser or restart your computer. They ensure a consistent and efficient experience for you while visiting the Website and Services.

Cookies may be set by the Website (“first-party cookies”), or by third parties, such as those who serve content or provide advertising or analytics services on the Website (“third party cookies”). These third parties can recognize you when you visit our website and also when you visit certain other websites.

3. Hostinger website analytics

We use Hostinger’s built-in website traffic reporting to understand basic activity, such as how often the Website is visited and which pages receive requests. This is for monitoring and improving the Website, not for profiling individual visitors or targeting advertising.

Hostinger’s built-in traffic reporting is based on hosting or content-delivery network traffic information and does not itself require a separate analytics cookie on the Website. Related server logs may nonetheless contain technical information such as IP addresses, the date and time of requests, pages requested and browser/device details. Our Privacy Policy explains how this information is handled.

We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or other separate advertising or behavioural analytics integrations on the Website.

4. Cookies currently used

The table below lists the cookies detected or declared on the Website, with their providers, purposes, categories and durations. We maintain this information using SureCookie and review it when Website plugins or integrations change.

SureCookie’s own consent-management cookies may include surecookie_user_consent, which remembers privacy choices, and surecookie_session_id, which associates a browser with its consent session. These support the operation of the consent system. Their use is intended to help honour your choices and demonstrate compliance with applicable privacy requirements.

5. Your cookie choices

Where consent is required for optional cookies or similar technologies, these will not be used before you give the applicable consent. You can refuse optional cookies and can change or withdraw your choice later through the Website’s Cookie Preferences control. Necessary technologies used to provide the Website or record your privacy choices may remain active.

Where a specific statistical-purpose exception applies under UK rules, we will provide clear information and a simple, free way to object to the relevant storage or access. Browser settings alone are not our only method of offering required choices.

You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain necessary features may affect parts of the Website or the operation of the cookie preferences system. Deleting existing cookies does not necessarily delete any related records already held on our systems; you can contact us about your privacy rights.

6. Third-party providers and consent records

Hostinger provides website hosting and traffic reporting. SureCookie provides cookie scanning and consent-management functions. Depending on enabled settings, SureCookie may process technical information to determine a visitor’s country and may store consent choices, timestamps and related records in the Website’s WordPress database. These operations are separate from Google AdMob advertising in the mobile app.

Third-party services are subject to their own privacy documentation. For further information about personal data, service providers, international transfers, data retention and your rights, please see the Soothing Sounds Privacy Policy available on this Website.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy if the Website, its plugins, its service providers or the applicable legal requirements change. The date at the top will show when the policy was most recently updated. Material changes will be brought to visitors’ attention where required by law.
